Paul Simpson, PGA Professional​

Golf has been part of my life from the age of 13yrs. Having played many sports through my school years the golfing bug eventually struck. After a brief spell assisting Norman Allen at the Burford Golf Club working in the Professionals Shop I decided to focus on Tournament golf with the ultimate aim of playing on the European Tour with greats such as Seve and Lyle. After 5 years of hard practice and competing on the Southern England circuit winning many Professional events I eventually gained my European Tour card realising my ambition of competing against Seve, Lyle, Norman and Woosnam to mention only a few. With over 50 Tour events under my belt including numerous BMW PGA Championships I joined The West Berkshire GC as Head Professional. I have continued playing Regionally and Nationally winning the National Professionals Championship in 2008 at Moortown Golf Club. I have represented Great Britain & Ireland in the PGA Cup matches on 2 occasions and England 5 times in the European Team Championships together with numerous Southern England Professional wins and over 200 Pro-Am victories. I also divided my time between teaching, membership recruitment and family life.
